one of the guys i work with mentioned that his daughter is into astronomy so i was asking him if they had a telescope or have been to an observatory. you see, im all for kids betraying their parent's religions so i do what i can to encourange scientific development. so i went looking for observatories in the area and what a find!
Powell Observatory has the largest telescope in a five state area. The main telescope has a 30" mirror, and is available for public viewing, club member private use, and for on-going research projects. this telescope is among the very largest telescopes in the entire country that is regularly available for public viewing of the night sky.
and its only 25 miles away!!! =) im going, thats for sure.

ok, so the updated ROM left half my programs inoperable.
its taken me a year to figure out that the new rom didn't include
the java virtual machine it claims is actually installed.
so i am out of town for 6 days and i find this out on the first day of vacation. i didnt bring the USB cable which would enable me to install java on the z, no. that would be too easy. so now i have to wait untill we get back to KC to see if this fixes things...Current Mood:  annoyed |

its cold when you dont have a heater.
i wear two coats when i drive.
this morning on the way to work my forehead hurt it was so cold.
stupid air blowing straight up my hood (coat hood, not car hood).
im very happy to have internet access again. =)
now i can get all the guitar tabs i want without having to ask entendre to get them for me,
which im sure was annoying.
now i can spend two hours looking for a good avatar
oops... now i can let the pizza burn in the oven while im posting...
i had a guy come into work today that i recognized from the car club i used to be in.
the reminiscing was going swell till i pointed out that i was the jerk with the flat tire and no spare or jack or lugwrench that crashed the scenic drive. he didnt seem to mind, but i felt pretty lame. haha
entendre's on the phone right now expecting pizza when she gets off...
i dont think shes going to be happy.
there were two things i was going to talk about today, but i have forgotten what they were since i thought of them around noon. dammit. oh well

ok, this is the second time in a row that i have painted my car only to have it sleet and snow the night afterward.
quite frankly, this has become annoying to me because i want to paint the whole car, then clear coat it, and wax the damned thing to keep it protected from this short of stuff. now i know the dead of winter isnt the best time for painting a car. nor is painting it outside in the parking lot, now that i think about it- but since i dont have a garage its the only option. ..... and now i have to put the fire out because its time to go visit friends. so sayeth entendre, so mote it be.
